LAKSHMAN JHULA: It is situated in Rishikesh in the state of Uttarakhand in india . It is located at 5 km northwest from rishikesh. On July 20 , 2019 it is restricted for pedestrian and built parallel bridge. It is open for pedestrian but close for 2 and 4 wheeler.
However then also there are people use scooter on the bridge . It connects two villages of tapovan . Deity lakshman once crossed the Ganga on the jute rope this is why it is known as lakshman jhula . This bridge was built in 1929 . It is an iconic landmark in Rishikesh. Every year millions of tourist visit here.
